The cheesesteak from Mona Lisa is among the top 3 I have ever eaten in my life. I have searched the globe on a quest for the perfect Cheesesteak and this one is right up there. The roll was perfect- rustic, crusty on the outside and soft and chewy in the middle- the exterior is encrusted with sesame seeds that add a beautiful depth of flavor. The meat to bread ratio was spot on- half of their $6 cheesesteak was more than enough for one person. The veggies in the sandwich are fresh and cut thick- no canned mushrooms here. The meatball parm sub is also killer. The meatballs seasoned just right and you could really taste the Parmesan. Only wish they had put a little more sauce on it.

The eggplant parm is sliced thin sauteed until the outside is golden brown and then set off with a simple classic marinara made just the way it should be- tomatoes, salt garlic and just a hint of basil. The eggplant is then covered in fresh mozzarella and baked off until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

This place rocks across the board. I've yet to order anything that I'm not completely satisfied with and if I weren't I know that Mona Lisa's would make it right. This is my neighborhood spot for killer sandwiches and home style Italian favorites.
